Molokans are spiritual Christians who chose a different path from Russian Orthodoxy. Over 200 years ago, they left Russia for Armenia and other places where they were allowed to settle. Today, only two small villages remain in Armenia where Molokans live in close-knit communities. They speak Russian but consider themselves distinct from Russians. Despite time and distance, they have managed to preserve their values and traditions in work, family, and spiritual life.

While working on this series, I came to understand that Molokans are deeply free, complete, and independent people. This is the secret of their inner beauty. Coupled with the natural beauty that surrounds them, it makes this place truly unique.
